Detox, post-binge, is a fairly modern way of life. If the Ancient Wisdom of Ayurveda is put to practice, binge eating, watching or doing things is an absolute no if one wants to preserve their good health. Inundating the digestive system with heavy to digest foods, doing physical excesses, (bright screens or loud music) for far too long, will have its toll on the system, albeit sooner or later.

To precisely surmise the quote,  “Indulging the senses and the body systems in just the right way is a way to good health.” The reader is bound to think, common sense. But then, suddenly there are moments in life when it gets hazy, looking out of those rose-tinted glasses of affection for the food. The common sense guards simply crumble under the force of emotions. Festival times, gatherings, parties, weddings, etc. haven’t we all suffered from such hangovers and the resultant guilt trip?

Don’t worry, for now, Ayurveda has your back.

Detoxification or Panchakarma is an integral part of Ayurveda, along with medicine, diet and lifestyle choices. It is elaborate and always done under expert guidance. Benefits? It can miraculously help restore the health and cure diseases, right at its root. (This is worth experiencing at least once in your life.)

Can we have simple version of detox, without a lot of the “do’s and don’ts”?

Yes!

FASTING and EXERCISE are the best natural detoxifiers. Next in line are special herbs.
