If you are trying hard for weight loss then you MUST stop behaving like an adult. Confused? Don’t be. It is not always kids should learn from us rather it is time to adopt a few kids behavior to make ourselves lighter, healthier and happier.

Weight loss imitating kids ………are you kidding?

Do you feel hungry all the time no matter how much you are eating in a day? Well, research says, half the time we feel hungry is actually the feeling of thirst. Yes, so next time, if you are confused with your hunger, grabbing a glass of water, might help you. If you always end up eating a lot, then possibly your leptin is not functioning properly. Leptin is a hormone in our body which tells us to stop eating. When leptin does not play it’s role enough then you need to adopt some other tricks to signal yourself to stop eating.

Visiting kids section in a shopping mall is a treat. Kids plates, cutlery aren’t they too cute? Haven’t you wish to buy them sometimes even if you don’t have one? Well, buy them for yourself. Yes, I am not kidding. Or, if it feels embarrassing to use a kid’s plate then get a small plate for yourself. Changing the size of your plate can help you to reduce your portion size without giving a feeling that you are actually eating less.

Kids generally take a lot of time to finish their meal. They share all the interesting incidence of their life when they sit to eat. And of course, parents like us get irritated with their tireless talking on the dinner table. Sometimes we get frustrated to see their talent of going slow even on a small portion of food. However, following this habit can change a lot for you especially if you are a fast eater and struggling for weight loss. All you need to do is keep all your gadgets away, take food on a smaller plate and eat slow, like really slow. Talk to people and take a double-time that you generally need to finish the food.

Bottom line …

Weight loss is not that tough that we think, rather few simple and steady steps can really do miracles. Making some dangerous desperate attempts (read all fancy diet which force you to starve/ using various weight loss products etc) for only few days will not make much difference in your weight loss goal. Trust me, until you adopt some sustainable behavioral change you have to keep dreaming on permanent weight loss. However, developing habit is not easy my friend, specially when it comes to healthy habit. It takes a lot of struggle to actually follow that in daily life. For example, how many of you are actually drinking 8-10 glasses of water everyday to ensure weight loss? But you already know that water will boost your metabolism and will faster your weight loss process, right? See, adopting simplest inexpensive habit has become a challenge for you. Imitating kids is the other challenge you might take up for your weight loss. Try to take a deep sleep, eat in a smaller plate, take lesser amount that you think you can finish and take more time to eat than you take generally. Don’t panic, no one is going to eat your portion. Eat with love and patience. You may wait for some auspicious day to start your workout for weight loss but changing eating pattern can happen right now. So what are you waiting for? Start imitating kids.
