Generally, we should be drinking 2 to 3 liters of water every day which comes around 8 to 10 glasses. Beside this, you can follow a crude method to figure out your approximate daily water requirement. You can divide your body weight with 8 and the answer is the number of glasses of water you would be required to drink on a daily basis. Let’s make it simple with an example, if your body weight is 56 kg, divide it with 8, that means you need to drink 7 glasses of water every day without any fail. Remember it is glass (250 to 280ml), not a cup.

How to drink water for weight loss?

Now you must be thinking how should you drink? Cold water/ warm water/ infused water- which is the best way to drink to ensure fast weight loss? Right? Friends, don’t make the simple act of drinking complicated. Just remember you must drink 8 to 10 glasses daily and that’s all.

Some people believe that drinking ice cold water helps in burning extra calorie as our body works hard to raise the temperature of that water. Yes, it requires around 7 calories to bring up the temperature of a glass of ice cold water to normal. That means you will be able to burn a maximum of 70 calories drinking 10 glasses of ice cold water a day. Hey, but what about the cold and cough and other disadvantages (read constrict of blood vessels, hampered digestion, solidification food fat etc.)?

Then there is another school of thought which claims to drink warm water boost metabolism and provide fast weight loss along with many other benefits (read relax muscles, better digestion, and blood circulation etc). But is it possible for you to drink 10 glasses of warm water every day? Let me tell you drinking warm water is not advisable during fever, post workout or whenever you are thirsty.

Bottom line –

Make effort to adopt a habit which is doable for the rest of your life and ensure natural weight loss. You need to stay healthy for life not for 15 days. So don’t unnecessarily complicate the scenario by making infused water, buying an infused water bottle or trying to drink hot/ ice cold water. The drill is simple- water and weight loss go hand in hand. just drink water- 8 to 10 glasses without fail to ensure fast weight loss. You can start your day with warm water or you can even drink warm water after 45 minutes of taking any meal. But otherwise, mix normal water with cold water or just drink normal water. Well, how many glasses did you drink since morning? Start Counting.
